We kindly invite you to participate in the FIRST INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR OF THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP that will take place at Silvaland Equestrian & Life Enrichment Centre - Corfu (Kalafationes area), from April 30 to May 4, 2012.

About Therapeutic Horsemanship

Equine activities and therapy organized and taught by instructors and therapists specifically trained to work with people with disabilities or diverse needs. This innovative approach has the horse as a partner along with its environment, as an effective strategy to improve and enrich the quality of life for individuals with special needs.

During the end of the 1950s doctors, therapists, educators and instructors discovered the benefits and therapeutic properties of the relation between horses and human. Since the beginning of the therapeutic horsemanship a tremendous spectrum has been developed and this therapy supported by horses is accepted and accredited around the world. Although, in Greece, the equine-assisted activities and therapy needs to expand, including more licensed professionals, trained horses and appropriate facilities.

The seminar mission is to educate and promote excellence in the field of equine-assisted activities and therapies by changing and enriching lives of people with special needs
